The precise impact of the new agreement isn't yet clear. But NASCAR says it will now manage the digital business and editorial operations, beginning in 2013, while Turner handles advertising and sponsorships.
Brian France, the NASCAR CEO, says the new agreement allows NASCAR itself to take "a leadership role as it relates to our digital rights," which he says "is important for the future of our sport, the development of our drivers, and most importantly, the experience for both our current fans and future followers."
The move obviously gives NASCAR officials themselves a lot more control over the editorial content on NASCAR.com.

2012 and France and "NASCAR"
2012 and France and "NASCAR" are finally concerned about their digital rights and they sold their video rights i 2001? There should be some open parking spaces at NASCAR headquarters as a result of that idiocy but there is no accountability for bad business decisions there.
