Rick Hendrick injured in Key West plane crash; NASCAR TV ratings in for Martinsville, Talladega; Mark Martin gets a new ride

   Rick Hendrick, his wife and two pilots were involved in a incident Monday night while landing at Key West, Fla., when their plane's brakes had 'issues.'         
   The plane ran off the runway, and the four were take to the Lower Keys Medical Center for treatment, and released Tuesday morning.

   Hendrick himself suffered a broken rib and broken collar bone; his wife Linda suffered minor cuts and bruises. The pilots suffered no serious injuries.
   All four have flown back home to North Carolina, however the plane itself, a Gulfstream G150, is still at the Key West airport.

  
   TV ratings are in from Sunday's Martinsville 500 and, finally, from last week's Talladega 500.
   ESPN says Talladega was seen by about 5.4 million viewers, with a 3.9 rating; that's up from last year's 3.6 for Talladega, with 5.2 million viewers. (ABC's 2009 coverage pulled a 4.1 rating, with 6.6 million viewers.)
   ESPN says Martinsville was seen by 4.9 million viewers, with a 3.6 rating; that's up from last year's 2.8, with 3.9 million viewers. (ABC's 2009 coverage pulled a 2.9 rating, with 4.7 million viewers.)

    And it looks like Mark Martin finally has a new ride for 2012.
    Martin, 52, will be giving up his ride with Rick Hendrick at the end of the season. Now comes word that Michael Waltrip wants him in one of Toyotas next season, perhaps for as many as 30 Cup races. Martin could be replacing David Reutimann, who has struggled this season and sits 28th in the standings. Reutimann, who won Charlotte in 2009 and Chicago in 2010, has a season-best of second at Kentucky.
