   BROOKLYN, Mich.
With this track smack in the heart of one of the country's hardest-hit economic areas, track president Roger Curtis Sunday cut prices for 2010 ticket renewals at Michigan International Speedway.
And the track will be cutting its seating capacity from the current 137,000 to about 120,000 by widening the seats.
Ticket prices here across the board will be cut, Curtis says, from five percent to more than 60 percent for next year's races on June 13th and August 15th.
A general admission seat will be $25; a reserved seat, $35 and up. Infield campers will be cut from $100 to $60. Kids 17 and under can get half-price grandstand seats.
The track will also offer flexible payment plans.

MIS Ticket Prices

Interesting. I've taken my son to both Indy Car and Truck races at Michigan, but never a Sprint Cup race. The seats we like were $60-75/person depending on the series, including NASCAR. The deal was kids under 12 get in free to Indy & Truck, but by NASCAR "rule" they have to pay for Cup Races, thus he has never gone to one.

I find it interesting that now this track will sell them a ticket at half price. Ticks me off that when phoned, they claimed it was a NASCAR rule that prohibited them from letting kids in cheaper.

Oh well, we've since moved and I'm taking him to Dover this fall where ALL tickets are half price through Sunoco these days!
