NASCAR changes up some Truck tour rules on engines

   TALLADEGA, Ala.
   NASCAR announced some new rules for the Truck series for next season, including the introduction of a 'spec' engine "as an option" for teams at tour tracks less than 1.25 miles in length.
   The engine limit rule will be changed, and teams now will be allowed to run no more than two consecutive races without using a NASCAR-sealed (previously used) engine. (Excluding Daytona and Talladega events) The rule this year allows teams to run no more than three consecutive races without using a 'sealed' engine.
   Truck teams will start using the double-file shootout restarts; teams can once again add fuel and tires on the same stop; and six over-the-wall men will be allowed.
    NASCAR's tires rules for the Trucks:
   -- Tires will continue to be transferred between events with the same D-codes as recommended by Goodyear. 
    -- The transfer of tires between the different national series at combination events with the same D-codes will be permitted. 
    -- Goodyear will provide surplus tires, and Goodyear will notify teams weeks in advance of availability.
