Charges dismissed against J. C. France in Daytona

   TALLADEGA, Ala.
   A judge has thrown out the evidence in the J.C. France case, and charges of drug possession and driving under the influence have thus been dropped, the AP in Daytona is reporting.
    France, a grandson of the man who founded NASCAR, was pulled over last October after running a red light, and officers said they found what appeared to be cocaine.
   But, in an order AP says was dated March 29th, the charges were dismissed because the policeman who stopped France was outside his jurisdiction.
    France is a driver on the GrandAm sports car tour but has been under suspension since the incident.
