Can the new Dodge boss, Ralph Gilles, quickly earn support in NASCAR?

    FONTANA, Calif.
The new Dodge CEO, Ralph Gilles, will make his NASCAR debut at Talladega Friday October 30th.
Gilles took over the reins of the Fiat-Chrysler Dodge division just a few days ago, as part of a major shakeup by Fiat executives, which included the abrupt departure of long-time racing boss and CEO Mike Accavitti.
The sudden departure of Accavitti may not set well in Dodge racing camp, considering his strong support of NASCAR racing and obvious uncertainty about the new guy at the wheel. The man in NASCAR most directly affected by the Gilles-for-Accavitti shakeup is Roger Penske, who will apparently be the only Dodge team owner on the Sprint Cup tour in 2010, and Penske has expressed disappointment at the loss of Accavitti.
