One of the stranger promotions of the year will now include legendary Cale Yarborough.
Yarborough has added his name to the lineup of an all-stars race of ex-drivers at Bristol Motor Speedway March 21.
But Darrell Waltrip, another famous Bristol racer, has now withdrawn from the event.
The race, dubbed the 'Saturday Night Special,' will be a short sprint in late-model cars for former stars, among them Harry Gant, Junior Johnson, Jack Ingram, David Pearson, Jimmy Spencer and Rusty Wallace.
It will be part of the track's Saturday night card, between a 300-mile Nationwide race and a 100-lap UARA late-model race.
The race has a $100,000 purse, going to various charities.
